Delivery Policy

SAPawn Marketplace Delivery Information

This Delivery Policy applies to all purchases made through the SAPawn Marketplace at sapawn.co.za/shop. All amounts are in South African Rand (ZAR).

1. Delivery Options

When purchasing an item from the SAPawn Marketplace, you may choose from the following delivery methods (subject to availability):

1.1 In-Store Collection (Free)

  • Collect your purchased item directly from the selling pawn shop
  • You will receive the shop's address and collection instructions after payment
  • Please bring a valid South African ID document when collecting
  • Items must be collected within 14 days of purchase, unless otherwise arranged

1.2 Courier Delivery

  • Delivery is available to addresses within the Republic of South Africa only
  • Courier costs are calculated at checkout based on the delivery address, item size, and weight
  • Courier fees are displayed in ZAR and are payable at checkout
  • We do not deliver to P.O. Box addresses

1.3 Shop Delivery

Some pawn shops offer their own local delivery service. Where available, this option and its cost will be shown at checkout.

2. Delivery Timeframes

  • In-Store Collection: Available immediately after payment confirmation (during shop business hours)
  • Courier Delivery: Estimated 3–7 business days within major metropolitan areas; 5–10 business days to rural or remote areas
  • Shop Delivery: As arranged with the selling shop, typically 1–3 business days for local deliveries

Delivery times are estimates and may be affected by courier capacity, public holidays, or unforeseen circumstances. SAPawn is not liable for delays caused by third-party courier services.

3. Delivery Area

Delivery is available within South Africa only. We do not ship internationally. All orders placed through the SAPawn Marketplace are subject to South African law.

4. Delivery Costs

  • All delivery costs are displayed in South African Rand (ZAR)
  • Delivery costs are clearly shown before you confirm your purchase
  • In-store collection is free of charge
  • Courier and shop delivery fees vary based on location, size, and weight of the item

5. Tracking

Where courier delivery is selected, a tracking number will be provided once the item has been dispatched. You can track your delivery through the courier's website or by contacting us at accounts@sapawn.co.za.

6. Failed Delivery

If a courier delivery attempt fails (for example, no one is available to receive the parcel):

  • The courier will attempt re-delivery or leave a collection notice
  • If the item is returned to the shop after multiple failed attempts, you may be required to pay additional delivery charges for re-dispatch
  • Items uncollected for more than 30 days may be returned to stock, and a refund (less delivery costs) will be processed

7. Damaged or Missing Items

If your item arrives damaged or is missing from the delivery:

  1. Do not dispose of the packaging or the item
  2. Take photographs of the damage and the packaging
  3. Email accounts@sapawn.co.za within 48 hours of receipt with your order reference and photographs
  4. We will investigate and arrange a replacement or refund as appropriate
